Potato Gratin
Indulge in the creamy, cheesy goodness of this classic potato gratin. Layers of thinly sliced potatoes, garlic-infused cream, and melted cheese create a comforting side dish that pairs perfectly with any main course.
Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C
Grease a baking dish with butter
Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the dish
Sprinkle half of the minced garlic, salt, and pepper over the potatoes
Pour half of the heavy cream over the potatoes
Sprinkle half of the Gruyere and Parmesan cheeses over the potatoes
Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, heavy cream, and cheeses
Dot the top with butter
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 40 minutes
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving
